Preparation for War was created during the Persian Gulf War in 1991. Shaped accordion-fold pages transform from hospital bed to grave marker, revealing the embossed text: Preparation for War Includes Clean Sheets on an Optimum Number of Beds and an Increase in Production of Markers for the Dead.
